Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Engineer to join our civil construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that construction projects comply with environmental regulations, minimizing environmental impact, and promoting sustainable practices throughout the project lifecycle.

Job Description

Conduct environmental impact assessments and site evaluations related to civil construction projects.

Develop, implement, and monitor environmental management plans (EMPs) to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations.

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to integrate environmental considerations into project planning and execution.

Monitor air, water, soil quality, and waste management on construction sites to prevent contamination and pollution.

Prepare environmental reports, documentation, and permit applications required for construction projects.

Identify potential environmental risks and provide recommendations for mitigation measures.

Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to environmental policies and regulatory requirements.

Assist in the development and delivery of environmental training programs for construction teams.

Stay updated on environmental laws, regulations, and best practices related to civil construction.

Support sustainability initiatives and the use of green technologies in construction projects.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering with environmental specialization, or a related field from an accredited institution.

Professional Engineer (PE) license or relevant certification is desired.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental engineering, preferably in civil construction or infrastructure projects.

Strong knowledge of environmental laws, regulations, and permitting processes.

Experience with environmental impact assessments, soil and water sampling, and remediation techniques.

Proficiency in environmental software and tools (e.g., GIS, AutoCAD, environmental monitoring systems).

Excellent written and verbal skills.
