SCHEDULE: Monday- Friday, Dayshift MISSION: The primary responsibility of this position is to perform actual inspector audits, outgoing quality audits, stamp audits and certification audits. Other responsibilities include but not limited to customer complaints due to Visual/Dimensional issues, perform investigations on inspector escapes, assist in on-the-job training of new inspectors and cost reduction projects. They must work closely with the Operations Team, Quality Team, and NDT Team. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Perform outgoing quality audits for Visual Inspection. Perform evaluations to provide detailed information on casting quality for internal and external use. Perform at least one annual assessment audit of every VisDim operator. Perform or assist in the investigation of customer escapes and concerns within 48 hours of notification from the quality department. Write reports for Quality on the actual results of escape instigations. Assist with performing annual eye exams (when requested by the Quality Manager). Assist with NADCAP audits (where necessary). Assist NDT trainers when they are out on vacation or other functions. Perform stamp audits. Must interface with customers in a professional manner. Identify potential areas of cost reductions. Be able to assist manufacturing during end of quarter requirements for throughput. Be able to read/understand customer drawings and ensure that VisDim work instructions accurately reflect them. Support the Quality team (if necessary) with DSQR duties and other technician duties when needed by the business. QUALIFICATIONS

Must have at least 5 years of actual inspection time, ideally on investment castings or aerospace products. Considerable knowledge of and familiarity with NDT principles as well as a working knowledge of NDT methods other than those not currently used at the facility. Excellent and effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to apply and adapt a wide variety of technical procedures under general direction and to complete work independently. Ability to develop visual/dimensional work instructions. Ability to plan, schedule, evaluate and coordinate a wide variety of major projects. Maybe required to complete hazardous waste management training. Working knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint computer programs.
