The Beauty Counter Manager plays a dual role – part salesperson, part teacher – while maximizing sales in their assigned beauty brand. Ideal candidates are results-oriented and thrive in a commissioned sales environment, are passionate about beauty trends and can build a customer following both in-store and digitally. Responsibilities
Conduct makeup applications, skincare analyses and recommend products based on customer’s beauty goals Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all customers Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals, utilizing both in-store and digital selling tools (including text and social media) Manage the scheduling and execution of vendor events and promotions Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to maximize business results Keep department customer-ready through organization and cleanliness Keep up with the latest beauty trends, products, and industry knowledge through trainings provided by Nordstrom and luxury brand partners Manage sales, refunds, exchanges, and build customer loyalty by opening new Nordstrom Rewards program accounts You own this if you have…
Passion for customer service and beauty, including trends, makeup application, and skincare Excellent ability to connect with customers, proactively handle customer concerns and contribute to a positive team environment Empathy and respect for all customers, providing a supportive environment during makeup and skincare application Strong multitasking, organization, and follow-through skills Drive to achieve sales goals, with interest in using networking and technology The ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings and weekends High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative Physical Requirements:
Continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift, including bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching to handle merchandise and assist customers Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling Handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting above the head Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds

Pay ranges are provided in compliance with state laws and may vary by location. Pay offers depend on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The pay range is $28.50 - $29.65 hourly. This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, holidays, and more. Commission varies by merchandise sold; Beauty and Men’s Fragrance roles typically receive 3% commission.
