Overview

Walden Savings Bank is seeking a team member for the branch who is responsible for fulfilling multiple branch functions including teller and platform services. The role oversees teller operations, maintains records of vault, teller cash balances and general ledger accounts, and provides exceptional customer service such as opening accounts and assisting customer inquiries about bank products. The position uses the Walden Savings Bank Sales and Service Model to identify cross-sell opportunities and refer customers to appropriate business partners. Assists management with the ongoing training and development of teller staff. Responsibilities

Provide a complete range of branch services, including opening new loans and accounts, processing teller transactions and cross-selling bank products, services and digital platform. Gather customer information utilizing needs-based sales approach; open and close branch independently; serve as a specialist on Digital Banking solutions with a user-friendly digital experience. Ensure accurate processing of transactions including savings, loan and checking; handle complex transactions and customer inquiries; oversee branch cash management; demonstrate features and benefits of digital banking solutions in person and virtually. Promote products and services by referring customers to appropriate business partners based on customer needs; capture interactions using customer relations management software; assist supervisors in sales activities and research. Work with branch management to ensure tellers follow regulations, policies, procedures and branch security; enforce security programs monitoring cash levels, teller differences and outstanding cash items. Be responsible for daily, monthly and quarterly branch proofs; locate discrepancies with staff as needed; provide on-the-job training for tellers on product knowledge, sales, service and compliance; conduct weekly huddles with teller staff. Remain up to date on product knowledge, bank services, policies, practices and procedures; provide feedback to management on digital services and ways to improve offerings. Qualifications

Experience: 2-3 years’ experience in the teller function, as well as sales experience, particularly in cross-marketing products and services; proficiency with Digital Platforms. Education/Certifications/Licenses: A high school degree or GED is required. Interpersonal Skills: Significant level of trust and diplomacy; ability to conduct in-depth dialogues and explain matters of significance with customers and colleagues. Other Skills: Excellent sales, interpersonal and communication skills; good understanding of financial products and services; high attention to detail; computer and organizational skills; ability to recognize customer needs to refer products. Working Conditions and ADA

The work environment is indoors in a climate-controlled setting with moderate noise. Position largely involves sedentary work with occasional lifting up to 25 lbs and may require navigating stairs in emergencies. Standard office equipment is used; typical computer-based tasks range from 6-8 hours per day, with extended hours as required by management. Equal Opportunity
