The Department of Professional & Occupational Regulation (DPOR) is seeking an ADA Compliance Forms Analyst. The role focuses on updating DPOR applications, forms, and related website content to bring them into compliance with Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) as defined by Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. The analyst will also maintain accessibility standards for newly developed website content, including forms, applications, board documents, consent orders, final orders, board meeting notes, town hall documents, education provider lists, and any additional content essential for public participation or benefit.
Responsibilities
Remediating PDF documents to be compatible with modern screen readers by editing document tab order, header tags, help text, form field descriptions, and color/text contrast.
Testing content before publication to ensure compliance with accessibility requirements.
Coordinating with board staff to provide accommodations for individuals requiring assistance completing processes or obtaining information in an alternate format.
Collaborating with the Communications Manager to ensure web content meets accessibility standards.
Qualifications
10 years of experience remediating PDF documents for ADA compliance and business requirements gathering.
8 years of experience coordinating and collaborating with different teams, using Microsoft 365 Office applications, website content testing, and editing forms using Adobe Acrobat.
Understanding of WCAG compliance requirements (desired).
5 years of experience in Adobe AEM Designer, using accessibility testing tools such as JAWS and SiteImprove.
Certification or degree in Web Design or Graphic Design (not required but nice to have).
