THE POSITION IN A NUTSHELL Sciens Building Solutions is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Technician to provide retrofit and repair services of all forms of fire sprinkler systems and components. This is a key position for our growing team and requires attention to detail in all aspects of NFPA‑based fire sprinkler systems. The ability to problem‑solve and communicate effectively with the designer, project manager, service coordinator and customer(s) is an integral part of this position.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING (and doing well!)

Inspect, test and maintain fire sprinkler, deluge, and pre‑action systems in accordance with California NFPA 25.

Ability to work under tight deadlines.

Perform fire pump testing, inspections and maintenance with minor repairs.

Cut, thread, and groove pipe to specifications, using tools such as saws and pipe threaders.

Work and coordinate with customer representatives to resolve coordination conflicts in the field.

Ability to manage job scheduling and job progress in an efficient and cost‑effective manner, with a strong focus on quality.

Complete all required documentation, service work orders, California NFPA AES reports and graphs.

Provide support, guidance, and expertise to other field installers and helpers.

Knowledge of fire industry.

Knowledge of OSHA safety standards.

What We Like About You

Two to five years of experience in field commissioning and troubleshooting of fire sprinkler systems.

Working knowledge of wet, dry, and pre‑action systems, as well as backflows and fire pumps.

Proficient in NFPA 13, 20 & 24 code requirements.

Certified in backflow inspection and repair.

Ability to read fire protection system design drawings.

Ability to use trade appropriate tools to perform daily technician duties efficiently and safely.

Ability to train others to use trade appropriate tools efficiently and safely.

Excellent organizational, decision‑making, and communication skills.

NICET level I, II or III in Water‑Based Systems.

Excellent driving record.
