Base pay range $28.00/yr - $38.00/yr
A precision manufacturing company in Downers Grove is seeking a skilled Nondestructive Testing (NDT) Technician to join its 2nd shift team. Position Summary The NDT Technician will perform nondestructive inspections on precision components and assemblies to ensure compliance with internal and customer specifications. This role is key to maintaining part integrity and supporting the company’s commitment to quality.
Responsibilities
Perform magnetic particle (MT), fluorescent penetrant (PT), or other nondestructive tests according to written procedures and specifications
Evaluate inspection results and identify surface or subsurface defects
Maintain detailed inspection records, certifications, and documentation
Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams to address nonconformances
Maintain NDT equipment and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards
Support continuous improvement efforts within the quality department
Qualifications
Prior experience as an NDT Technician in a manufacturing or aerospace environment required
Certification or qualification in Magnetic Particle (MT) and/or Fluorescent Penetrant (PT) testing preferred
Familiarity with AS9100 or similar quality systems a plus
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Availability for 2nd shift and flexibility for occasional overtime
