Responsibilities Under direct supervision of the clinic manager and general supervision of the clinic providers and licensed nursing staff, the Medical Assistant IIs performs patient‑care duties, including:
Scheduling patient appointments and managing associated patient system screens.
Accurate billing and documentation.
Performing environmental care functions, equipment/supply management, and cleaning/disinfecting the environment.
Utilizing medical terminology, on‑line scheduling, universal precautions, and proper body‑mechanics.
Prioritizing demands and working collaboratively with the care team.
Minimum Qualifications
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or certificate of completion of a Medical Assistant training program.
Basic Life‑Rescue Training (BART) or Basic Life Support (BLS) at time of hire and commitment to obtain BART within six (6) months.
Two (2) years or more of Medical Assistant experience.
Knowledge of medical terminology, online scheduling, universal precautions, and proper body‑mechanics.
Proven initiative, prioritization skills, and ability to work in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of five (5) years experience in ambulatory care.
Vascular experience.
Special Conditions
Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre‑employment physical.
Pay Transparency Annual Full Pay Range: $52,847 – $65,772 (will be prorated if appointment percentage is less than 100%).
Hourly Equivalent: $25.31 – $31.50.
Factors determining appropriate compensation include experience, skills, knowledge, education, licensure, and certifications.
