DaVita recently launched a Clinical Ladders program for PCTs, empowering you to be in the driver’s seat of your career and increase earning potential. The Bridge to your Dreams program offers tuition assistance for RN and other advanced roles, and dedicated training to become a Facility Administrator or Regional Operations Director.
What You Can Expect
Direct Patient Care – spend much of your day in one‑on‑one patient care delivering safe, comfortable, and hygienic dialysis treatment. Our PCTs care for up to 4 patients at a time.
Technician Duties – monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis, measure and record stats, observe patients, and set up hemodialysis machines. Exposure to blood and needles is expected.
Continuous Improvement – continuously seek ways to improve processes for patients and teammates, supporting the goal of building the greatest health care community.
Patient Education – build long‑term relationships with patients suffering from end‑stage renal disease and educate them on kidney dialysis topics.
Team Environment – work with clinicians including technicians, nurses, dietitians, social workers, and leadership. PCTs report to an RN.
Schedule – shifts begin as early as 3:30 am and vary based on patient needs. Flexibility for mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.
Some Details About This Position
Training may occur in a facility or clinic with a cohort of new teammates.
During training you will typically work 32–40 hours per week.
You may be assigned to a final home clinic that differs from the training site, and you may float to various clinics during and after training.
Flexibility is required to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements
Desire to care for people in need.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Comfortable working with blood and needles and mixing acid or bicarbonate.
Willingness to train and work across multiple clinics in the territory.
Physical ability to work long hours, often 12+ hour shifts on feet.
COVID‑19 full vaccination or medical/religious exemption.
Healthcare certifications a plus (e.g., BONENT Certified, CHT, CNA, CMA, Phlebotomy).
