Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled
Techno-Functional SAP Consultant
who combines deep technical expertise in
SAP ABAP
development with a strong understanding of
SAP MM (Materials Management)
and
SCM (Supply Chain Management)
business processes. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and develop robust reports and enhancements end-to-end, with minimal reliance on separate functional consultants. Location and Availability
Location: Wixom, MI (Hybrid in Wixom, 2-3 days a week) Duration: 2-3 months (this is a project and once completed the contract will be done) Short Term Contract • C2C Responsibilities
Engage directly with business users to gather, analyze, and document requirements for SAP MM and SCM modules. Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications for reports, enhancements, and integrations. Design, develop, test, and deploy ABAP reports, SmartForms, ALV reports, and custom developments. Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing custom programs and interfaces. Provide techno-functional support for SAP MM and SCM business processes, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and planning. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and high performance across SAP modules. Participate in unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure solution quality and alignment with business objectives. Maintain documentation, technical specifications, and user guides for all custom developments. Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development, including classical and interactive reports, SmartForms/SAPScript, user exits, BADIs, and enhancements. Strong functional knowledge of SAP MM (procurement, inventory, material master, goods receipt) and SAP SCM (logistics, planning, order fulfillment). Proven ability to independently gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Solid understanding of SAP data structures, tables, and integration points between MM, SCM, and related modules. Hands-on experience with performance tuning and debugging ABAP programs. Ability to work independently with minimal guidance while maintaining excellent communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications
Experience in S/4HANA environments or migration projects. Familiarity with OData, SAP Fiori, or SAP CDS Views. Experience with interface development (IDoc, BAPI, RFC, etc.). Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
