Position Summary Provide member support via telephone and electronic methods. Perform inquiry and transaction requests; actively resolve member concerns regarding debit cards, home banking/bill payments. Process loan requests and submit for approval. Achieve goals in a sales-focused environment.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Receive incoming telephone calls promptly and in a friendly and pleasant manner.

Provide member’s information and process transaction requests, stop payments and check orders.

Assist members with debit card issues and online banking/bill payment issues.

Maintain extensive knowledge of all credit union products and services in order to assist members quickly and efficiently.

Research and resolve complex member issues independently.

Sustain general knowledge of loan products and services.

Enter loan requests through the lending operating software and determine additional probing questions to ensure all information and documents are received for submission to loan officers.

Mail/Fax and Email information/forms to members.

Ensure prompt follow-up to members.

Service members through Relationship Manager.

Sell appropriate products and services to all members.

Advocate and demonstrate company brand.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Year of similar or related experience in a contact center environment.

Excellent interpersonal skills and telephone manner are essential.

Takes initiative to proactively add value to the member and credit union.

Positive and optimistic.

Trustworthy and honest.

Must have reliable and stable internet connection; speed: 25 mbps or greater for remote location option.

Acceptable background check; credit, criminal and insurance.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements This position requires the employee to work indoors in a typical office environment. It requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer and talking on the phone. The employee is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations, and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and manipulate light to medium weights of 1-15 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application information. The employee frequently need to sit, reach with arms, talk and hear.

Location 4605 Commerce Rd, Richmond, VA 23234. Remote/Work from home if you meet the minimum high speed internet requirements; otherwise you will be required to work on site at one of our locations.

Hours 40 hour workweek between the hours of 8:00am and 6:00pm, Monday - Friday.
