Responsibilities Under the direction and authorization of the medical director and cardiopulmonary director, the Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP II) is responsible for performing respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the physician. Emphasis is on assessment, planning, implementation and documentation of care, with consideration of age and population-specific needs. In the absence of a supervisor, the RCP II may be assigned as Lead RCP, with responsibility for the section or department during their shift.
Qualifications Education and Work Experience
State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License required.
Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the NBRC required.
2 years experience as an RCP preferred.
ACLS certificate within 60 days of hire and maintain current.
NRP certificate preferred.
PALS certificate within 60 days of hire and maintain current.
Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, including wages and benefits, is $32.00 hourly. Exact starting compensation will be determined at hire based on factors such as skillset, experience, education, credentials and licensure.
