General Duties Independently perform routine duties of accounting, filing, posting, and preparing reports and statements concerning District finances. Not limiting but including maintaining financial accounts and records in conformity with requirements of the State Education Department, Office of the State Comptroller, General Municipal Law and policies established by the Board of Education. Assist the Business Administrator in the daily performance of their duties and other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications The candidate must meet the minimum requirements as specified in Section 2102 of the New York State Education Law.

Work Responsibilities

Receive and acknowledge district funds and make deposits

Maintain itemized records of all receipts and payments

Track and Reconcile all bank accounts and statements

Prepare reports and statements concerning district finances

Coordinate, prepare and assist with the internal, external, risk assessment, OSC and all other types of audits

Prepare monthly Treasurer Reports for presentation

Assist the Business Manager in the preparation of the short and long-range District financial plans

Assist in reconciling cash and investment accounts monthly

Assist in the disbursement and receipts of various funds

Assist in the maintaining and preparation of accounts in the Special Aid Funds/Prepare FS-25/FS-10-F forms to claim grant funding

Prepare/Submit Monthly Claim forms with NYS Child Nutrition Management System

Administer benefit plans for all active and inactive employees

Perform such other duties as may fall within the scope of said position as requested by the Superintendent and/or Business Administrator

Prepare monthly/annual journal entries
