Job Description - COUNSELOR STUDENT II (T227259) COUNSELOR STUDENT II - (T227259) – The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is seeking a Counselor Student II to advise and counsel CCAMPIS students.

Responsibilities include:

Providing guidance and advice to students on course selection, prerequisites, career planning, and continuing higher education.

Offering counseling services related to student academics and other aspects of student life.

Making referrals to other agencies or offices as needed.

Collecting data related to assessment of students.

Assisting with student recruitment and retention and serving on special committees as needed.

Maintaining accurate student information and adhering to strict confidentiality standards.

Providing new student orientation and outreach services to junior colleges for undergraduate program admissions.

Coordinating support services for students.

Preparing special and recurring reports on student status.

Assisting with departmental publications.

Acting in a lead or supervisory capacity.

Annual Salary: $43,890 – $45,000

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Education, or a related field.

Four (4) years of related experience.

Work experience does NOT substitute for the education requirement.
