Overview
Our client, a large professional services firm located in Hartford, CT, is looking to hire a Network Architect for a 12-month hybrid (3 days per week onsite) contract. The consultant will be supporting an entire network overhaul and modernization effort for a government client, working with Cisco-based technologies to design, implement, and troubleshoot Cisco networks for optimal performance and reliability. The team focuses on enhancing network performance and scalability, delivering robust solutions for the business.
Required Skills
Minimum of CCNP (preferably CCIE)
Experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting Cisco networks, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
Hands‑on experience with OTV and VXLAN deployments within Cisco NX‑OS and Application‑Centric Infrastructure (ACI) mode, including conversion of OTV to VXLAN topologies
Proficiency with routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and securing protocols with IPSEC over public or non‑private links
Strong wireless experience designing and implementing wireless networks on‑premises and cloud‑based
Network security experience, developing and deploying advanced security measures and on‑prem/cloudfirewall configurations
Cloud networking expertise, designing and managing Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS networking solutions for scalability, security, and cost‑efficiency
