Overview

Finance Manager
at GDIT. You’ll enable the success of critical government missions and the growth of a meaningful career in Finance.
As a Finance Manager, you will lead a delivery line within the Defense Finance team to drive superior financial performance. You will lead a team of two financial analysts and have a flexible hybrid work arrangement with in-office presence in Falls Church, Virginia three days per week.
Responsibilities
Partner with the Program/Ops Team: close working relationship with Sector VP, Program Manager, Contracts, and Subcontracts; be a strong financial leader for the team; provide real-time financial impacts of hiring decisions across the program.
Program Finance Reporting: manage Estimated to Complete (ETCs) and Estimates at Completion (EACs); conduct monthly program reviews to assess financial health; oversee program-level P&L and program investment outlooks.
Financials, Forecasting, and Budgeting: develop a 5-year strategic plan with ongoing monthly and quarterly forecasts for revenue, profit, direct labor, subcontract costs, and other direct/indirect costs; manage revenue recognition and at-risk coordination; perform variance analysis and other ad hoc analyses; provide budgeting insights to leadership to support decision-making.
Compliance and People Development: ensure compliance with internal policies and government regulations; maintain current knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, policies, and procedures; support people development, cross-training, and career coaching.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science
Experience: 8+ years of related experience with people management
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, EACs, and working with government contracts
Technical skills: Proficient in Excel; experience with Oracle Financials and Oracle Analytics
Security clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance
Citizenship: US citizenship required
Role requirements: Willingness to travel to customer sites on a quarterly basis
Hybrid: In-office presence in Falls Church, VA 3+ days per week
