Job Title: Licensing Compliance Chief

Essential Functions

Serves as Licensing Compliance Chief

Manages, monitors, and evaluates foster home licensure information reflected within the daily SACWIS system report to ensure that licensed foster homes are reported to DCFS and the appropriate POS agency

Serves as working supervisor

Provides analysis of Departmental foster home licensing programs and makes recommendations to increase effectiveness and efficiency

Provides input into the development of training programs and functions as a trainer for new program techniques/initiatives and policy/procedural changes for DCFS and POS staff regarding licensure

Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a master's degree in social work or a related human services field from a recognized college or university.

Requires three years of progressively responsible administrative child welfare experience with an MSW OR four years of progressively responsible administrative experience with a master's degree in a related human services field.

Preferred Qualifications

3 years of experience in the issuance, denial, and revocation of licenses for professional services.

3 years of management experience in a professional business or public agency.

2 years of experience utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint in a public or private organization.

3 years of professional experience developing corrective action plans in a public or private organization.

3 years of professional experience conducting program monitoring in a public or private organization.

Conditions of Employment

Requires ability to travel in the performance of duties. Requires appropriate, valid driver's license.

Requires completion of a background check and self-disclosure of criminal history.

Certain provisions of the revolving door restrictions contained in 5 ILCS 430/5-45 apply to this position. As a result, the employee should be aware that if offered non-State employment during state employment or within one year immediately after ending State employment, the employee shall, prior to accepting any such non-State employment offer, notify the Office of the Executive Inspector General for the Agencies of the Illinois Governor (OEIG) or may be subject to a fine.

This position has been found to meet the requirements in section 4A-101 of the Illinois Governmental Ethics Act requiring the occupant/employee to file a Statement of Economic Interest. The Illinois Governmental Ethics Act (5 ILCS 420/4A et seq.) requires certain state officials and employees to file annual Statements of Economic Interest with the Office of the Secretary of State that will be made available for examination and copying by the public. All employees required to file a Statement of Economic Interest are also required to file the Supplemental Statement of Economic Interest with the Executive Ethics Commission. (See Executive Order 15-09) Fines and penalties apply to untimely filings.
