Plans and coordinates preparation of project documentation, such as engineering drawings, production specifications and schedules, and contract modifications, to ensure customer contract requirements are met. Reviews contract to determine documentation required for each phase of project, applying knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes. Analyzes proposed changes of product design to determine effect on overall product and system. Coordinates modification records for management control. Establishes change orders and prepares for change authorization and documentation by company and subcontractor. Reviews and analyzes released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities.
The incumbent will be responsible for, but not limited to:
the configuration management of all Virginia & Columbia Class Submarine products and services
having a working knowledge of vendor software and Electric Boat Parts
professionally interfacing with EB, Navy, SUPSHIP and all departments external to E68
coordinating efforts to stand up submarine processes
developing solutions to a variety of complex problems, referring to established precedents and policies – as necessary
developing and delivering presentations
Must Have Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of relevant exempt experience; Master’s Degree and 4 year of relevant professional experience
One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications:
Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience
Nice to Have Candidate should be familiar with Virginia & Columbia Class Submarine programs and working with Electric Boat products. Being knowledgeable in the use of SAP, i2 and above average skills with Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint, are all pluses.
