Responsibilities Build relationships to create new clients via face-to-face and virtual sourcing strategies (residential, business, networking, introductions and referrals, social media, and speaking engagements).
Deeply understand clients' and prospective clients' needs, priorities, and concerns to accelerate trust and create personalized, comprehensive strategies to help them achieve their goals.
Oversee branch processes, roles, and responsibilities to ensure a high-quality, streamlined client experience consistent with firm policies and procedures, regulatory requirements, and ethical guidelines.
Engage the branch team to create, monitor, and adjust the branch business plan to increase branch effectiveness and achieve desired business results.
Create a highly engaging environment in the branch of mutual trust, respect, feedback and accountability.
Qualifications & Licensing What makes a successful financial advisor: interest in financial services/markets, love of learning and challenges, strong relationship-building, critical thinking, and opportunity-driven mindset.
Skills/Requirements: Candidates should have at least one of the four qualifications listed below:
A bachelor's degree is strongly preferred or equivalent work-related experience within the securities/financial services industry
Financial services and/or sales experience
Financial services registration, licensing, or certification
Professional and/or military career progression
Licensing: SIE (can be obtained without Firm sponsorship), Series 7 and Series 66 will be required; registrations may be obtained at Edward Jones during the paid study period. FINRA registrations required within three months. State insurance licenses will be required. Ongoing training per firm and regulatory authorities (FINRA and SEC), plus required CE training to keep licenses in good standing.
Benefits & Compensation Benefits: medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, voluntary benefits, disability income continuation, basic life, basic AD&D; 401k, health savings account, flexible spending accounts. Paid sick leave and paid time off where required by law. Bonuses, profit sharing, and Travel Award Program eligibility. Employee Assistance Program. See the benefits page for more information.
Compensation: trainee pay and a supplemental salary for up to five years, commissions and compensation for new assets gathered in the first five years.
Supplemental starting salary range: $45,000 – $100,000.
