Overview
A temporary Research Assistant is needed and the primary responsibilities involve utilizing GIS software for digitizing tasks, and efficiently managing and analyzing data in varied formats. A strong background and expertise in working with GIS software (e.g., QGIS) or other industry-standard tools is needed. Responsibilities
Utilize GIS software for digitizing tasks; manage and analyze data in varied formats. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience and education/course work. Be highly motivated, with strong organizational and communication skills and excellent problem-solving skills. Experience primarily using Windows operating systems. Knowledge of basic GIS principles and experiences with ArcGIS or QGIS. Ability to adequately use Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with food animal production, knowledge of spatial data, and a strong understanding of spatial analysis. Required Documents
