About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven
Automotive Sales Manager
to lead our
car dealership sales team
to outstanding results. The ideal candidate is a proven sales leader with a strong background in
automotive retail ,
sales operations , and
team development .
This position is responsible for maximizing vehicle sales, growing gross profit, and ensuring an exceptional
customer experience
throughout the buying process. The Sales Manager will oversee showroom operations, manage the sales team, and collaborate with the
F&I ,
BDC , and
marketing departments
to achieve dealership goals.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, train, and motivate the
automotive sales team
to achieve and exceed new and used vehicle sales goals.
Drive high performance through effective
lead management ,
desking deals , and consistent
CRM follow-up .
Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) including gross profit, closing ratio, and customer satisfaction scores.
Develop and execute monthly sales strategies to increase showroom traffic and online conversions.
Recruit and develop top-performing sales professionals through training and coaching.
Partner with the
BDC
(Business Development Center) to improve lead response times and appointment show rates.
Work closely with the
F&I team
to ensure efficient deal flow and maximize per-vehicle profitability.
Maintain strong knowledge of vehicle inventory, pricing strategies, and market trends.
Uphold dealership processes, compliance standards, and manufacturer guidelines.
Qualifications
3+ years of
automotive sales
experience with at least 1–2 years in a
management or team leader role .
Proven track record of achieving or surpassing dealership sales targets.
Strong leadership, communication, and motivational skills.
Proficient in
CRM systems ,
DMS platforms , and
digital retailing tools .
Knowledge of
lead management ,
appraisal ,
inventory control , and
desking
preferred.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
