Overview
Per diem General Cardiologist to join a growing program at Oregon Heart & Vascular Institute (OHVI), PeaceHealth RiverBend Medical Center. OHVI is a leading-edge cardiovascular center located within PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend. It centralizes clinical services, diagnostics, interventions, cardiac rehabilitation, and wellness programs under one roof, promoting seamless, multidisciplinary collaboration and high‑quality patient care.
OHVI is staffed with 25 physicians (3 cardiovascular surgeons, 5 interventionalists, 8 general cardiologists, 2 heart‑failure specialists, 3 vascular surgeons, and 4 electrophysiologists) and 16 advanced practice clinicians (PA‑C/NP). The institute offers a comprehensive array of programs, including Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging, Heart Failure, Electrophysiology, Vascular Medicine, and a robust Structural Heart program featuring TAVR, MitraClip, TriClip, Watchman, and PFO/ASD closure. The echo program is IAC‑accredited for TTE, TEE, stress echo, procedural echo, 3D and strain imaging. The institute also houses a 128‑slice dual‑source CT and cardiac MRI capabilities, and an IAC‑accredited nuclear medicine lab with SPECT‑CT and CZT cameras.
Outreach clinics serve 500,000 patients across three counties, with rapid‑access care, cath lab adjacency to the clinic, and a strategic site in Florence. The program is located in Eugene/Springfield, Oregon—a vibrant mid‑size college town nestled between the Cascade Mountains and the Pacific Ocean.
Qualifications • Significant expertise and enthusiasm for General and Diagnostic Cardiology.
• Strong interest and experience in echocardiography.
• Fellowship training or significant experience in Advanced Cardiac Imaging.
• Knowledge of, and experience with, structural heart procedures (TAVR, MitraClip, TriClip, Watchman, PFO/ASD closure) is desirable.
• Willingness to work in a per‑diem, hybrid clinical model including hospitalist‑within‑a‑hospital structure.
• Visa sponsorship available.
