Software Engineer - Full Stack Web
Join the Software Systems Infrastructure team that supports the broader Software Systems organization by developing internal tools, optimizing development processes, and ensuring that all safety‑critical software meets the highest standards for production vehicles.
In This Role You Will
Develop infrastructure and tools to support the Software Systems org that enable software developers to track and build safety‑critical code.
Primarily develop in Bazel, Python, ReactJS and TypeScript and set up backend infrastructure (database, web servers, etc.) while interfacing with software developed in C++ and Python.
Write quick scripts to automate tasks such as generating metrics and establishing traceability when necessary.
Develop and maintain tools that support cross‑functional teams in their efforts toward a High Assurance Process.
Contribute to solving complex safety‑critical software challenges in autonomous vehicles.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, computer science, or a related field.
5+ years of industry experience with large codebases and full‑stack systems.
Strong proficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js, Angular).
Solid experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL), Linux systems programming, and scripting (Python, shell).
Familiarity with software build systems, version control (e.g., Git), and testing methodologies.
Bonus Qualifications
Robotics, Automotive or Aerospace software experience.
Experience with Static and Dynamic Analysis Tools – such as Coverity, Valgrind/Helgrind, CCM, etc.
Experience with safety‑critical systems.
Compensation Base Salary Range:
$172,000 - $230,000
per year. Compensation also includes Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights, and a possible sign‑on bonus. The salary range applies only to the base salary; total compensation varies by location and level.
