Senior Contracts Administrator , you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. This position will provide support within the Contracts & Acquisition Management Office supporting the Federal Civilian Sector as a subject matter expert related to the contract life cycle (but not limited to) Non-Disclosure Agreements, Teaming Agreements, Proposals, Contract Negotiation, Contract Administration and Closeout.
How a Senior Contracts Administrator will Make an Impact
Conducts negotiation and administration of government contracts
Participates in preparation of proposals including pricing and scheduling details and coordination of requirements
Provides advice on contract terms and conditions and applicable legal requirements, including but not limited to the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Agency specific regulations
Interacts with program managers, finance staff, subcontract professionals and others in a highly collaborative environment to ensure compliance and mission success
Collaborates with other Contracts team members as needed for guidance and camaraderie
Administers contracts through negotiation, correspondence, documentation, certification, financial reporting, and product delivery
Reviews solicitation requests
Coordinates contract requirement fulfillment with programs
Provides contractual support in proposal development and submission
Serves as a liaison with Government and commercial Prime Contractors regarding contracting issues
Participates in program reviews, status briefings and customer interaction whenever the contracting officer is involved
Maintains updates and communicates bid and proposal information
Initiates and maintains a network of communication with Contracting Specialists/Officers
Participates in special projects, as required
What You’ll Need to Succeed
Education:
Bachelor’s degree. In lieu of degree, 9+ years experience within Contracts Administration required.
Required Experience:
5+ years’ experience within Contracts Administration
Required Technical Skills:
Proficiency with MS Office Suite
Required Skills and Abilities:
Advanced knowledge of contracts administration practices, procedures, and processes. Advanced knowledge of relevant laws, and regulations such as FAR, DFARS, and CAS.
Preferred Skills and Abilities:
Experience working with Oracle. Professional Certification. Experience with negotiation and administration of Government contracts. Effective administrative and organizational skills. Effective presentation, communication, and business writing skills.
Location:
This will be a hybrid position working in our GDIT facility in Falls Church, VA. This will require working onsite (3) days a week.
