Associate Attorney
to join our
Bankruptcy, Foreclosure, Creditor's Rights and Business / Corporate Law
practice group in our Columbia, SC office. Candidates must be in good standing with the South Carolina Bar and possess strong academic credentials, exceptional research and writing skills, and the ability to work independently.
The Associate Attorney will be responsible for handling miscellaneous creditor's rights and corporate matters, with a specific focus on creditor's rights issues and commercial transactions. Key responsibilities include:
Conducting closings
Participating in trials and hearings
Drafting pleadings, motions, discovery documents, and briefs
Performing legal research
Communicating with clients and opposing parties to resolve or settle claims
Managing a diverse caseload from inception to conclusion
Providing timely updates to senior attorneys
Collaborating with other attorneys during depositions and various court appearances
Review and draft contracts and leases
Requirements
Juris Doctorate degree
1 – 3 years' experience preferred
Strong time management, communication, and organizational skills
Commitment to client service and effective problem-solving capabilities
Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage caseload efficiently
