Position Security Officer – Armed Flex Front Desk
in
Atlanta, GA
(Flex Part‑Time).

What You’ll Do
Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites.
Support operations across a range of environments, including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education.
Receive site‑specific training and guidance from experienced teams.
Deliver a consistent, professional security presence and customer service.
Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise.
Responsibilities
Provide customer service to clients and visitors at the front desk by carrying out security‑related procedures and following site‑specific policies.
Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and credentials as required for entry to support a secure environment.
Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, observations, and any incidents encountered while on post.
Assist with emergency response activities as directed by client protocols and Allied Universal leadership.
Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and staff to address inquiries or direct them as needed.
Support Allied Universal and client policies to help deter unauthorized activity at the location.
What We’re Looking For
Availability across various days and shifts.
Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments.
A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company.
Interest in transitioning into full‑time roles when available.
Minimum Requirements
Possess a valid Armed Guard Card or Armed Guard License as required by state and/or local regulations.
Have at least 6 months of experience in armed security‑related, law enforcement, or military roles.
Provide one of the following: a DD214 with honorable discharge, an associate’s degree or at least 60 completed college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
