You will be part of an exciting team in Central Hardware System (CHS) Group working on the latest generation of QUALCOMM’s Snapdragon Products. The successful candidate will exhibit strong technical and interpersonal skills for interacting with Software and Hardware engineers. The charter of the CHS DDR SW Tools team is to ensure that the end-product qualifies the defined acceptance criteria for DDR (in terms of stability, meeting Power and performance numbers). We are seeking a highly motivated engineer with strong programming skills in
C, C++, Python , and a solid understanding of hardware concepts. The role involves developing and implementing validation test suites across UEFI, Linux, and Windows environments. The candidate is expected to be self‑driven to quickly get up to speed on various aspects of the software and flexible to take‑up tasks as per the project needs.
This Position Offers The Opportunity To
Collaborate with cross‑functional software and hardware teams to understand DDR, CPU, and HSIO system architecture for Server SoCs.
Gain deep insights into DDR, CPU, and HSIO software systems design and validation.
Evaluate industry standard validation test suites and benchmarks for servers.
Contribute to quality assurance from product development through commercial launch, including support for full production ramp‑up.
You will work closely with teams in the US, India, and Taiwan so excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential.
The position involves understanding of Server SOC Architecture and DDR Subsystem which includes understanding of LPDDR5X, LPDDR6, DDR5 and DDR6 design and PMIC system architecture, and be able to develop SW Tools suite to catch any failures based on SW crash dumps & stability issues (such as memory corruptions, memory lock‑ups, bit flips, etc.). This position is expected to give an exposure to understand various quality stages from product development to commercial launch of the product. The candidate is also expected to guide on the server DDR specific tools developed by the team to catch issues in HW and SW.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field and 8+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field and 7+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field and 6+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
15+ years of industry experience in the following:
Proficiency in bootloader software, Linux OS, and programming languages (C, C++, Python; JavaScript is a plus).
Experience in porting existing software/debug tools to new operating systems is preferred.
Familiarity with DRAM technologies is a plus.
Effective time management to prioritize multiple complex stability issues and meet deadlines.
Self‑driven, quick learner, and adaptable to evolving project needs.
Experience with DDR validation frameworks or memory system performance analysis.
Exposure to UEFI development and low‑level system programming.
Knowledge of hardware‑software co‑design principles.
Knowledge of die‑to‑die interfaces is a plus.
Previous experience in platform bring‑up (pre‑silicon/post‑silicon).
Knowledge in scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Python, etc.).
Good understanding of real‑time operating systems.
Familiarity with boot loader functionality is a plus.
Excellent critical thinker with sharp debugging skills.
Interact closely with cross‑functional software teams to verify and debug software stability issues and features.
Define and develop test cases to catch DDRSS specific issues.
Excellent communication and collaborative skills.

Pay Scale: $192,600.00 - $289,000.00
The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted.
