Overview
Trimble & Associates, Inc. is seeking a CFO for a diversified, privately-owned, Denver-based real estate company. The CFO will join the organization and work directly with the Company’s executive management team. The selected candidate should be a strong cultural fit as a leader, mentor, and trusted advisor, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The role requires an entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to wear a variety of hats, managing a small but talented staff. Base pay range : $200,000.00/yr - $225,000.00/yr. This range is provided by Trimble & Associates, Inc. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more. Target salary range : $200,000 - $225,000 DOE. Discretionary bonus potential. Excellent insurance, 401K, generous PTO, and more. A Master’s in Accounting or an MBA is preferred. Real estate experience is preferred but not required. A CPA is expected, with 15+ years of progressive accounting experience (including both public accounting and industry experience). Selected candidate must have a stable job record and a track record of leadership in debt management and relationships. Responsibilities of the CFO
Oversees and directs the accounting and finance functions for the company Establishes and maintains relationships with lending institutions Works cross-functionally with all department heads Reviews financial statements for various entities Manages budgeting, outside accounting, tax, and insurance activities Provides and directs procedures to maintain proper records and ensure adequate accounting controls Assesses the organization’s financial position and participates in operations and asset review meetings Evaluates business partnering opportunities, including purchase and sale activities Performs other special duties as assigned Requirements for the CFO
Bachelor’s degree in accounting required; Master’s in Accounting or MBA preferred CPA certification 15+ years of progressive accounting experience, including both public accounting and industry experience Excellent knowledge of accounting methods, principles, and practices Extensive treasury, cash management, and financing experience Outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships internally and externally Excellent communication and presentation skills Ability to work effectively with all levels in the organization Highest levels of integrity, ethics, and judgment Team player and strong mentor
