This is a cross-credentialed position supporting two modern emergency departments within the same health network — offering flexible scheduling, consistent monthly hours, and competitive compensation. Opportunity Overview

Locations:

Site A: 37-bed main emergency department

Site B: 8-bed freestanding ER

Contract Type: Locum Tenens (1099)

Start Date: Upon credentialing (temp privileges available)

Duration: Long-term coverage (6+ months)

Shifts: All shifts available (10-hour coverage blocks)

EMR: Cerner

Trauma Designation: No trauma designation; process underway toward Level II (expected 2026)

Stroke Certified: Yes

Mon–Sat: 5:30a–3:30p, 10a–8p, 3p–1a, 8p–6a

APP Coverage: 6:30a–4:30p, 9a–7p, 3p–1a, 9p–7a

Freestanding ER (Site B)

Annual Volume: 40,150

Average Daily Census: 102

Shift Times: 6:30a–6:30p | 6:30p–6:30a

APP Coverage: 6a–6p, 9a–9p, 3p–1a

Scribe Coverage:

None (Cleo integration projected for Q4 2025)

Specialty & Backup Support

24/7 In-House: Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Radiology, Obstetrics

Part-Time/On-Call: ENT, Orthopedics, Pulmonology, Surgery, Urology, Ophthalmology, Oncology

Candidate Requirements

Board Certification: ABEM required (must be within 5 years of training if not certified)

Licensure: Active and unrestricted Tennessee Medical License and DEA (TN address)

Certifications: ACLS, PALS, Moderate Sedation Test

Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent ED experience in high-volume or multi-site programs

Credentialing: Temporary privileges available for clean files
