About the Opportunity
As part of a leading vascular surgery program, you will support patients across the continuum of care—including outpatient consultations, inpatient management, and procedural assistance. The role offers a balanced mix of outpatient (approximately 70%) and inpatient (30%) responsibilities, providing a comprehensive experience in vascular and endovascular surgical care.
Key Responsibilities
Provide patient care in both outpatient and inpatient settings, including new and follow‑up visits
Assist Dr. Hernan Bazan with vascular and endovascular procedures, including pre‑operative preparation and post‑operative care
Conduct telehealth consultations using the Epic platform
Assist with triage of referrals and manage department inbox communications
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless transitions of care
Order and interpret diagnostic studies in alignment with physician treatment plans
Educate patients and families on vascular conditions and treatment options
Support clinical quality, safety, and patient experience initiatives
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant (PA) program
Licensure & Certifications
Current California PA license
DEA Controlled Substance Registration Certificate (CSRC)
Current BLS certification
Additional certifications as required by department
Experience
Prior experience in vascular, surgical, or critical care settings preferred
New graduates with a strong interest in vascular surgery and procedural care are encouraged to apply
