Director of Operations, Quality & Records

The Director of Operations, Quality and Records for Chromalloy Material Solutions is a key leadership role reporting to the President of CMS. Responsible for the integrated oversight of material flow, inventory management, technical records and quality systems across the site. This role drives operational excellence and full regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities

Material Solutions & Logistics

Oversee end-to-end material management including procurement logistics, inventory control, material planning, and distribution. Ensure timely and accurate material availability to support production schedules and customer commitments. Warehouse Operations

Direct warehouse activities across multiple sites, including receiving, storage, kitting, and shipping. Optimize warehouse layout, automation, and space utilization to improve throughput and reduce costs. Ensure compliance with aviation regulations (e.g., ITAR, AS9100) and safety standards (e.g., OSHA). Quality Assurance

Lead the enterprise-wide quality assurance function, ensuring robust systems for inspection, testing, and compliance. Maintain and improve quality management systems (QMS) in alignment with industry standards and customer requirements. Drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability and customer satisfaction. Technical Records

Oversee the technical records department, insuring highest quality and efficiency of all records related to engines, modules and parts for acquisitions and sales. Maintain and improve records management tools and processes to insure full regulatory compliance while meeting customer demands. Leadership & Culture

Manage a diverse team of managers, supervisors, and technical experts across operations and quality. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and operational excellence. Champion employee development, engagement, and succession planning. Leverage ERP, WMS, and QMS platforms to improve visibility, traceability, and decision-making. Utilize data analytics to monitor performance, identify trends, and drive proactive improvements. Financial & Risk Management

Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations and strategic investments. Identify and mitigate risks related to material flow, product quality, and regulatory compliance. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred) 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in aviation operations, quality and/or records. Proven expertise in material management, warehouse operations, and quality assurance Strong knowledge of aviation industry standards (e.g., AS9100, ITAR, ISO 9001) Demonstrated success in leading large teams and driving operational transformation Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills Experience with ERP, WMS, and QMS platforms Seniority Level
