Position Summary Responsible for the operation of Dining Services’ two convenience stores plus the addition of Cabrini Cstore, the Second Storey, and the Donahue Market. Tasks include financial reporting, ordering, personnel management, sanitation, marketing, merchandising, product mix, vendor management, inventory, and daily operations. Leadership focuses on Villanova Mission, Dining Services Mission, and core values of Safety & Sanitation, Friendly Courteous Service, and Excellence.
Responsibilities
Personnel:
Supervise all staff; hire, schedule, train, discipline, terminate; maintain payroll and time reporting; conduct meetings and yearly evaluations; ensure staff safety and accident reporting.
Financial:
Manage pricing, invoice processing, daily revenue reports; meet budget targets; review weekly budget updates; recommend variance resolutions.
Marketing & Merchandising:
Develop promotions, review product mix, coordinate with Food & Beverage Manager on new items, manage menu pricing, run reports, advise product mix changes.
Food Safety & Sanitation:
Oversee food preparation, maintain production sheets and temperature logs, enforce safety policies, conduct inspections, collaborate with Donahue Market and Cabrini Cstore.
Menu Guidelines & Presentation:
Ensure menu compliance, portion control, quality checks; manage lunch/dinner/after‑hour menus; order inventory, maintain stock records.
Equipment & Supplies:
Monitor maintenance contracts, coordinate repairs, manage custodial standards.
Assist with special projects and events as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in hospitality, business, or equivalent experience.
5–7 years minimum food service management experience, preferably in retail operations.
Experience managing a convenience store preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
ServSafe Certification (current or to be updated within 3 months).
Allergy awareness training (to be completed within 3 months).
Physical Requirements Minimum lifting requirement of 30 pounds; ability to stand extended periods; withstand extreme weather (hot and cold); push/pull up to 30 pounds independently.
Schedule Sunday – Thursday 5:30 PM – 2:00 AM.
Salary Salary Grade: 15; Range: $64,000–$80,000 annually. Final salary determined by qualifications, budget, market data, and internal equity.
