As a Sr. Systems Analyst focused on Metadata Management, you will help drive the backlog for enterprise metadata management within Collibra. You’ll lead requirements gathering across business and technical teams, define and prioritize enhancements, and oversee the creation and maintenance of metadata policies. Partnering with data stewards and system owners, you’ll ensure metadata is accurately documented, mapped, and curated—enabling scalable governance and improved data discoverability. You’ll also play a key role in change management and user enablement, supporting enterprise‑wide adoption of Collibra through training, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

Lead Metadata Governance and Policy Development: Drive the creation, documentation, and maintenance of metadata policies within Collibra. Collaborate with data stewards and business stakeholders to ensure metadata standards are aligned with enterprise governance frameworks and regulatory requirements.

Own Requirements Gathering and Backlog Management: Serve as the functional lead for metadata initiatives by gathering business requirements, defining user stories, and managing the backlog for enhancements and integrations. Translate stakeholder needs into actionable roadmap items and prioritize delivery in partnership with technical teams.

Enable Enterprise Metadata Adoption and Stewardship: Champion the adoption of Collibra across the organization by curating metadata, mapping business definitions to technical assets, and supporting user training and change management. Ensure metadata remains accurate, discoverable, and valuable for analytics, compliance, and decision‑making.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in information systems, data governance, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in metadata management, data governance, or business systems analysis, preferably within enterprise data environments.

Hands‑on experience with Collibra or similar metadata catalog tools, including policy authoring, metadata curation, and stewardship collaboration.

Strong background in gathering functional requirements, managing backlogs, and driving roadmap execution for data governance initiatives.

Familiarity with data classification frameworks, business‑to‑technical metadata mapping, and enterprise data cataloging practices.

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate business needs into scalable metadata solutions.

Experience supporting change management and user training to drive adoption of metadata tools across diverse user groups.
