Join our Business R&D team in Turgi, where we develop medium-voltage frequency converters and HVDC subsystems. You’ll work alongside five power electronics engineers and four mechanical engineers in a highly technical and collaborative environment. The role offers flexibility in work arrangements and international exposure, with projects spanning Poland, Sweden, and China. You’ll be embedded in a global R&D landscape, supporting various initiatives. How you’ll make an impact
Drive the hardware development of medium-voltage frequency converters and HVDC subsystems in an R&D environment Collaborate on international R&D projects across multiple countries Work closely with project leaders, internal customers and suppliers Conduct technical troubleshooting on-site (approx. 10% travel) Apply power electronic expertise to product development and innovation Collaborate with internal engineering teams Test and validate new subsystems and systems Contribute to technology integration and innovation Your background
At least bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field Experience with medium- or high-voltage systems and converter technologies Strong understanding of various semiconductor technologies, such as IGCT, IGBT, MOSFETs Hands-on experience in lab-based product development and testing Technical expertise in power electronics Experience across the full product lifecycle Minimum of 12year of experience working with power converters Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a cross-functional, international environment More about us
