Keeper Security is hiring a talented Automation Engineer to join our Privileged Access Management (PAM) team. This is a 100% remote position, with an opportunity to work a hybrid schedule for candidates based in the El Dorado Hills, CA or Chicago, IL metro area.

About the Job As an Automation Engineer on Keeper’s PAM team, you’ll play a key role in automating the testing and validation of Keeper’s enterprise privileged access solutions. You’ll develop and maintain automated test frameworks that ensure the functionality, security, and scalability of Keeper’s PAM features — including credential rotation, access provisioning, and session control.
You’ll collaborate closely with software engineers, QA teams, and product managers to design robust automated test suites, integrate them into continuous delivery pipelines, and drive consistent quality across releases.
Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain test automation frameworks using Playwright and Pytest
Design and develop custom automation tools to drive integration and end-to-end testing
Experience of enterprise level test automation using JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, Bash, and YAML
Develop API testing module from scratch
Develop automated tests for web and API services hosted in AWS
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions (or similar tools)
Manage containerized test environments using Docker and Kubernetes
Implement and validate secure login workflows using SSO (OAuth, SAML) and identity providers
Execute remote testing using VNC, SSH, and RDP across various access protocols
Perform cross-browser and cross-platform validation using Playwright, Pytest
Monitor and report test results using tools such as AWS CloudWatch and S3
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure high-quality software delivery
Qualifications
3–5 years of experience in QA Automation Engineering. Strong programming experience in frontend/backend (Java/Python/Bash)
Strong hands-on experience with Playwright (TypeScript) and Pytest (Python)
Proficiency with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.)
Strong knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with CI/CD tooling, especially GitHub Actions
Familiarity with secure authentication (SSO, OAuth, SAML)
Experience working with VNC, SSH, and RDP in testing environments
Solid understanding of browser automation and access control testing
Strong communication and team collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with API testing frameworks such as Postman, REST Assured, or similar
Familiarity with test reporting and metrics tools
Understanding of zero-trust principles, encryption, and secure testing practices
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
