We are seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician to provide on‑site repair and maintenance support for our robots at customer locations. This role involves extensive regional travel, with additional opportunities for nationwide travel.
Locations: Louisville, KY or Dallas, TX. You will be based in one of these metro areas.
Travel requirement: Approximately 75% regional U.S. travel with up to 25% overnight stays.
Responsibilities
Perform on‑site preventive maintenance for robots and charging stations.
Troubleshoot and execute on‑site repairs, including preparation and necessary equipment management.
Conduct on‑site testing and physical inspections of robots to diagnose root causes and perform necessary repairs and validation.
Manage and nurture on‑site customer relationships to ensure smooth robotic operations.
Assist customers with non‑hardware escalations on‑site.
Analyze robot data to identify early signs of component degradation.
Maintain detailed records of work performed and ensure accuracy in documentation.
Complete service reports and manage support tickets in Salesforce.
Provide additional remote technical support and Return Material Authorization (RMA) activities as required.
Qualifications
Minimum 1+ year of experience in a similar hands‑on technical role or demonstrable technical aptitude; robot‑specific training will be provided.
A valid U.S. driver’s license.
Proficient with mechanical hand tools and multimeters.
Prior experience in electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting.
Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to lift, pull, and push up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to frequently bend, stoop, lift, walk, and reach as part of the job requirements.
Strong work ethic and consistent attendance.
Adaptable to working in warehouses that may or may not be climate‑controlled.
Self‑motivated, strong problem‑solving ability in independent and customer‑facing scenarios.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
