Yale NewHaven Health
Overview
To be part of our organization, every employee should understand and share in the YNHHS Vision, support our Mission, and live our Values. These values - integrity, patient-centered, respect, accountability, and compassion - must guide what we do, as individuals and professionals, every day. A qualified CRNA is responsible for the management of nurse anesthesia in collaboration with departments of anesthesia, surgery, and peri-operative administration. Develops and interprets organizational policies for budgets and personnel; assumes responsibility for safe and proper operations and quality control of equipment, techniques, and procedures. The manager of CRNA services will structure activities to anticipate and respond to the impact of managed care and other market forces on health care delivery. The manager will ensure that the CRNA service line provides seamless delivery of care, superior outcomes, and a competitive cost structure. The CRNA manager will collaborate with peri-operative leadership and staff to achieve the hospital's strategic objectives and mission: patient service, teaching, research, and community service. The CRNA manager serves as a direct link between hospital strategies and the CRNA service line. Patient- and family-centered care at YNHH is demonstrated by working with patients and families based on four principles: participation in care, dignity and respect, information sharing, and collaboration. This includes providing service excellence by creating a great first impression through exemplary customer service to patients, families, physicians, staff, and peri-operative leadership and personnel.
