About this Role – Survey Engineer We are looking for a talented Survey Engineer to provide advanced surveying and geospatial support to operations on civil construction projects.

What You’ll Do

Conduct topographic, boundary, and construction surveys using GPS, GNSS, and total station equipment

Interpret legal land descriptions and plats to support easement acquisition and utility siting

Create and update models using Trimble Business Center and AutoCAD Civil 3D

Perform takeoffs and develop CAD deliverables for engineering and permitting teams

Integrate survey data with GIS platforms and perform geospatial analysis

Collaborate with customer and field management on schedule development and assist in maintaining during the course of a project

Collect data from the field to report daily production quantities

Assist field personnel with troubleshooting GPS and survey equipment

Interact with customers on project with positive long-term relationship in mind

Mentor civil technicians and support continuous improvement of survey workflows

Maintain informational databases, records, general data archives, or files using technical software

Ensure compliance with company, federal, and state codes

What You’ll Bring

Extensive computer skills to include Acrobat, Microsoft – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint

Proficiency with Trimble Business Center, AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and OpenRoads

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Ability to anticipate and meet internal customer needs

Proven communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Ability to maintain confidentiality

Able to travel to various project locations

Proficient with reading civil drawings and understanding Geotech reports

Strong understanding of boundary law, legal descriptions, and public land survey systems

Experience with drone flight planning and dirt quantity analysis

Legal description drafting and plat preparation

A.S. or B.S. in Surveying, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field or equivalent relevant experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in land surveying, preferably in civil, utility or infrastructure environments
