Are you ready to use your expertise to directly shape the future of energy infrastructure? As the Project Engineer at LinxonAmericas, you will be at the forefront of designing and implementing cutting‑edge substation, BESS, solar, and rail electrification projects across voltage levels from 765kV to 11kV. Reporting to the Head of Solutions, you’ll collaborate with local engineering teams and the global GETs group to drive innovation and standardization. What will you do?
Technical Expertise
Lead the development and review of design documents for tenders and execution engineering. Create technical specifications and material schedules for HV and MV primary equipment. Perform and validate engineering calculations across grounding, lightning protection, steel structures, transformers, switchgear, and cable systems. Review vendor proposals and ensure alignment with project requirements and standards. Design & Collaboration
Drive design standardization and participate in technical review meetings. Support proposal development with innovative, cost‑effective engineering solutions. Ensure all designs meet safety, quality, and performance benchmarks. Cross-Functional Engagement
Collaborate with engineering teams across HV cables, civils, commissioning, and secondary systems. Coordinate with site managers and installation teams to integrate lessons learned into future tenders. Work closely with suppliers to ensure technical alignment and compliance. Customer & Stakeholder Interaction
Strengthen client relationships through clear communication and successful design delivery. Participate in design and hazard reviews to ensure project safety and integrity. Project Oversight
Approve technical tender documentation in line with bid standards. Manage work packages to ensure alignment with scope, schedule, and budget. Strong knowledge of outdoor and indoor substation equipment, including GIS applications. Experience in primary or secondary engineering, design calculations, and AC/DC auxiliary systems. Who you are?
Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD and/or MicroStation. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and collaboration. Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with 3–5 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree in electrical engineering with 2–3 years of relevant experience. Professional Engineering (PE) certification is a plus. What We Offer:
