We have a current opportunity for a Sr Manufacturing Engineer on a contract basis. The position will be based in Santa Clara, CA 5 days onsite. Sr Manufacturing Engineer Duration: 12 Month Contract- multiyear project, plans to extend Vacation: 13 days of accrued PTO annually + 9 paid holidays Base pay range
$50.00/hr - $70.00/hr Scope
We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer with deep expertise in electro-mechanical process development, equipment and fixture design, and manufacturing test systems. Experience in medical device manufacturing is highly desirable. Responsibilities
Lead development and optimization of manufacturing processes for electro-mechanical assemblies. Design, qualify, and implement custom tools, fixtures, and test equipment to support scalable production. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure manufacturability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of new products. Develop and execute manufacturing test strategies, including validation protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ), SPC, and GR&R. Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives using data-driven methods. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Manufacturing Engineering; Master's preferred. 5-8+ years of experience in regulated industries (medical device, aerospace, automotive). Proficient in SolidWorks, GD&T, and reading electrical schematics. Hands-on experience with instrumentation (oscilloscopes, DMMs), automation, and scripting (Python preferred).
