Full Charge Bookkeeper Opportunity with Real Estate/Property Management industry experience Company located in central northern New Jersey. Yardi experience is necessary. Hybrid role (2 days in office) after first 90 days. Responsible for full cycle bookkeeping duties, preparation of bank reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general office duties.
Requirements/Experience
Minimum of 3 years' full charge bookkeeping experience (Required)
Bachelors or Associates Degree in Accounting (Preferred)
Strong analytical, writing, and organizational skills
Good understanding of GAAP Standards
Accounts payable and Accounts receivable experience
Essential Functions
Experience with Yardi voyager (Preferred)
Excellent computer skills, with emphasis on Microsoft Office Suite - Excel
Experience with computerized accounting software
Valid driver's license with reliable private transportation
Ability to troubleshoot and work through problems
Previous experience at real estate company (Preferred)
A/P
Code and key accounts payable for, and process timely payments by cheque, online and credit card
Key and verify invoices using appropriate information and coding
Pay mortgages, escrows, taxes, owner distributions and management fees
Balance statements from vendors
A/R
Maintain current A/R accounts. Investigate, adjust, and resolve any outstanding balances
Process payments received by cheque, credit card, e-transfer, and money order
Banking
Monthly bank reconciliation and analysis of accounts and variances
Deposit cheques as posted to A/R
Complete physical bank deposits as required
Bookkeeping
Prepare month-end and year-end financial packages
Various accounting and journal entries
File and sort documents (paper and electronically)
Perform other duties as assigned
