Job Brief We’re seeking an energetic, detail-oriented team member to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Event Reporting Team in collaboration with our Finance Department. This role plays a key part in producing high-level financial and performance reporting for leadership and ensuring accuracy across companywide accounting and event settlement processes.
Role Overview Reporting directly to the Vice President of Operations, this role supports senior leadership by preparing accurate, insightful, and timely financial and operational reports. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and experience managing reporting systems.
Proficiency in
Power BI
and advanced
Microsoft Excel
skills are required. You’ll track key business KPIs, develop actionable insights, and continuously improve reporting processes for scalability and clarity.
Event Reporting & Financial Operations
Lead and manage the Event Reporting Team to ensure accuracy and timeliness of deliverables
Oversee daily credit card batch reconciliations and settlement accuracy
Review and approve client payouts and coordinate event settlements with Accounts Payable
Manage Accounts Receivable processes, including sweeps and reconciliations
Maintain integrity of deferred revenue, payables, and receivables
Manage Stripe Payment Systems, including new accounts and fraud/chargeback management
Financial Reporting
Produce and analyze weekly payables, liabilities, and event revenue reports
Manage month-end close and end-of-month reporting
Prepare bi-weekly commission reports and ensure cross-system accuracy
Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and visualizations for internal teams
Report key business KPIs to leadership and provide actionable insights
Collaborate across Operations, Finance, Sales, and Executive teams to align reporting with strategic goals
Transaction & Account Management
Record and reconcile credit/check invoice payments
Manage vendor setup, ACH, and tax documentation
Monitor payment accounts, cash/check transactions, and chargeback activity
Facilitate customer check refunds in coordination with Client Ticketing Managers and Finance
Sales & Revenue Tracking
Partner with Client Success to analyze revenue performance
Provide detailed financial and sales reporting to inform strategy
Collaborate with leadership to assess performance metrics and identify growth opportunities
Process Development & Improvement
Design and implement improved event reporting workflows and controls
Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
2+ years of experience in accounting, financial management, or reporting
Proficiency in Power BI (required)
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (required)
Strong knowledge of accounting principles: deferred revenue, payables, and receivables
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and multitasking skills
High attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with Stripe or other merchant processors
