Men's & Women's Assistant Wrestling Coach
Bryant & Stratton College is seeking an Assistant Men’s/Women’s Wrestling Coach (Part-Time) in Wisconsin. The Assistant Coach will support the Head Coach in the overall development and advancement of a competitive athletic program, while upholding high moral and ethical standards, sportsmanship, and academic excellence in the classroom. The Assistant Coach must enforce college rules, student conduct, and governing rules and regulations. Responsibilities
Serve in the College Athletic Department under the supervision of the Head Coach. Hold training sessions and monitor the improvement of the intercollegiate wrestling team; instruct players individually or in groups on rules, regulations, equipment, and techniques of the sport. Support compliance with all NJCAA rules as they relate to offering scholarships. Become knowledgeable of all NJCAA wrestling rules, including student-athlete eligibility requirements. Attend and conduct practice sessions allowed by the NJCAA during the off-season; practice schedules are at the Head Coach’s discretion during the wrestling season. Travel with the team as required, with alternative arrangements approved by the Head Coach; may be required to drive vans to meets. Attend annual NJCAA Region IV meetings if required. Promote the academic success of student-athletes by monitoring academic performance to ensure eligibility and encouraging high academic standards. Represent the College professionally at all times and supervise student-athletes while traveling to ensure team safety. Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach. Qualifications
Required: Bachelor’s Degree Preferred: Wrestling coaching experience at the high school level or above Desired: Wrestling coaching and recruiting experience at the college level First aid/CPR certification is a plus Excellent interpersonal, organizational, planning, and leadership skills Ability to serve as a positive role model for young adults Familiarity with NJCAA rules, regulations, and compliance is a plus Clean driving record is preferred Equal Opportunity
