What You’ll Do

Follow safe work practices as E2’s top Core Value.

Terminate, splice, and troubleshoot fiber optic cables, including high‑count OSP fibers.

Read and interpret splice records, floor plans, and blueprints to ensure precise fiber splicing.

Support installation activities such as cable routing, labeling, and bonding.

Maintain organized job sites, proactively addressing hazardous conditions.

Furcate large strand‑count fibers (3456–6912) and perform break fixes.

Operate equipment such as scissor lifts, telehandlers, boom lifts, and UTVs if required.

What We’re Looking For

Education

High school diploma or GED required.

OSHA 30 certification (within two weeks of hire).

BICSI Installer 2 Fiber certification preferred (required for Tech III).

Experience

3+ years of structured cabling installation experience.

1+ year in a fiber splicing role or industry‑related construction.

Proficiency in single and ribbon fiber splicing, ISP, and OSP projects.

Skills

Knowledge of EXFO OTDR and OLTS testing.

Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and distinguish color codes.

Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Positive attitude, team player, and self‑motivated work ethic.

Work Environment & Physical Demands The standard work environment for this position is an indoor business office and construction environment. Employees regularly sit, talk, or hear, use hands, stoop, kneel, bend, rotate, push, pull, reach with hands and arms on an intermittent to regular basis daily. Employees frequently stand and walk, regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and often lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Employees regularly carry and climb ladders to 20 feet. Employees may work in tight, confined spaces. The job may require occasional travel by conventional means including aircraft or motor vehicle within the region and to other locations as required.
