Overview The Manager of Epic Willow oversees the support and optimization of the Epic Willow Inpatient, Willow Ambulatory, Beacon Oncology Treatment modules, and Pharmacy Informatics in partnership with the System Director of Informatics across the Health First Integrated Delivery Network (IDN). This role manages and supports the delivery of Epic system build, maintenance, troubleshooting, and ongoing advancement in alignment with workflows, regulatory standards, and strategic objectives across Willow and Beacon Oncology Treatment care services. In collaboration with clinical and operational IDN leaders, the Manager of Epic Willow cultivates innovations to drive enhancement for experience and efficiency, ensuring effective, sustainable, and safe IT support.

Note:

This position requires residence in the State of Florida with onsite responsibilities.

Primary Accountabilities

Manages and oversees daily operations of the Epic Willow application support team, including workload distribution, prioritization, and service level adherence, partnering with clinical and operational stakeholders to align with workflows and Epic solutions.

Prepares and manages the Epic Willow portfolio of work, projects, and metrics; collaborates with Epic Applications teams to align on priorities and mitigate risk and incidents.

Oversees coordination of application support and maintenance tasks (software updates, patch installations, firewall requests, vulnerabilities, cyber exceptions, server certificates, backups) with SDLC standards.

Administers and supports implementation of new frameworks and workflows, delivering high-quality technology solutions aligned with clinical operation values and strategic objectives.

Supervises and advises on upgrades and optimization of the application and interoperability with ancillary outpatient toolkits; partners with Informatics, Training, and Clinical Operations to drive workflow enhancements.

Maintains and supports service turnaround times, resolves incidents, requests, and enhancements, and assists with high-level escalation tickets to mitigate risk and gaps in patient care.

Oversees, tracks, and reports updates on KPIs, resource allocation, and project progression to Epic and IT leadership and Clinical Operations stakeholders; suggests options for improvements.

Advises IDN stakeholders on short-term and long-term advancements to applications that align with departmental standards and requirements.

Work Experience Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (BPharm).

Work Experience: Five (5) years of application support experience, with two (2) years supervising or leading technology or clinical projects.

Licensure: Pharmacist licensure in the State of Florida.

Certification: Epic accreditation or certifications within six (6) months of start date and maintained.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: Deep understanding of Epic Willow and Beacon (Oncology Treatment) tooling and workflow integration; strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills; ability to lead technical and functional teams in a healthcare technology environment; proficiency with project management and IT Service Management (ITSM) methods.

Preferred Qualifications

Education: Doctorate’s degree in Pharmacy (PharmD).

Experience in Epic Willow Inpatient, Willow Ambulatory, Beacon, Oncology Treatment.

Physical Requirements

Majority of time involves sitting or standing; occasional walking, bending, and stooping.

Prolonged computer use at workstation.

Light lifting up to 20 pounds with or without assistance.

Exposure to varied indoor environments, temperatures, air quality, lighting and moderate noise.

Ability to communicate with others to exchange information; visual acuity and hand-eye coordination for tasks.

Workspace may vary from open to confined; travel to facilities within and beyond county perimeter may be required; use of personal vehicle may be needed.
