Job Description About the Role As Senior Reporter - North America LPG Markets, you will be a critical member of the Spots price reporting team across North America and Europe responsible for price reporting, market analysis and coverage of the North America LPG export and freight markets. You will engage with market contacts and sources to produce price assessments, analytics, and news for daily publication. You will report to the Global Editorial Lead for LPG.

OPIS enables customers to buy and sell energy commodities with confidence with multi-platform access to accurate data, real-time news, powerful software and educational events. OPIS listens to what the energy community needs and responds with flexible and easy-to-use products. Navigating world fuel markets is complex - OPIS makes it simpler.
You Will
Generate real-time news stories and longer, more analytical content focusing on industry trends and emerging issues
Produce webinars, outlooks, and insight pieces on market developments
Support the regional and global team with promoting price assessments to the marketplace to aid in acceptance and use as benchmark references
Accumulate spot market price transactions from industry participants via instant messaging, phone, and email
Verify the legitimacy of the transactions and adhere to OPIS pricing methodology to create daily price assessments
Develop and cultivate a range of industry sources
Occasionally travel to conferences and industry events
You Have
At least 5 years' energy industry experience in a professional reporting, publishing, analyst, or trading role
Knowledge of market dynamics, price drivers, and price reporting functions in the energy industry and the ability to quickly analyze data and market drivers
Strong interest in global trade
Experience with business/business intelligence applications and tools such as Excel, PowerBI, Tableau, and Python
Experience networking with international contacts
Business development and market engagement interest
Bachelor's degree -OR- equivalent work experience
Public speaking experience (a plus)
Additional language proficiency (a plus)
