About the Opportunity Our client, a respected multi-entity organization, is seeking an

Accounts Payable Supervisor

to oversee daily AP and cash disbursement operations. This role is ideal for a motivated accounting professional ready to step into a leadership position — someone who not only understands what to do but can show others how to do it right.

You’ll lead by example, guiding a small team through accurate invoice processing, vendor management, and payment controls — ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance every step of the way.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day

Accounts Payable

and

Cash Disbursement

activities across multiple entities.

Demonstrate and train

team members on proper AP procedures, ensuring understanding through hands‑on leadership.

Maintain and strengthen

internal controls

over vendor setup, invoice processing, and cash disbursements.

Review and approve

EFT transactions, credit card payments, and check registers , identifying and resolving unusual activity.

Reconcile vendor statements

and resolve discrepancies to maintain vendor trust and data accuracy.

Ensure compliance with

government reporting requirements

and company policies.

Track and evaluate employee performance metrics and provide coaching for improvement.

Maintain clear documentation of AP processes and update as needed.

Qualifications

2–6 years

of experience in Accounts Payable or Accounting Operations.

Proven knowledge of

internal controls

related to AP and cash disbursements.

Experience

leading or mentoring

team members — even informally — by demonstrating effective processes.

Proficiency with AP/accounting software and vendor portals.

Strong attention to detail, integrity, and commitment to efficiency.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
