Join ESCO Maritime Solutions as a Controller and lead all financial operations, including reporting, consolidations, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic analysis. You will report to the Vice President of Finance and provide critical insights to executive leadership while optimizing financial systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the accounting function in a dynamic manufacturing environment, overseeing multi‑year Department of Defense and commercial contracts.
Guide bids for new contracts, assist in negotiations, bidding processes, indirect rate formation, and audit support.
Oversee month‑end close, produce timely and accurate financial reporting, and optimize processes for efficiency.
Establish procedures, controls, and utilize reporting systems to enhance accounting department efficiency and accuracy.
Ensure compliance by monitoring and enforcing policies, internal controls, and safeguarding assets.
Support the VP of Finance in preparing the 5‑Year Strategic Plan and annual budgets.
Enhance financial controls and reporting systems in line with industry standards, laws, and regulations.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Educate line and project managers on correct financial procedures and the financial implications of their decisions.
Manage, develop, train, appraise, and motivate the finance department team.
Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
12+ years of related accounting experience, including 7+ years of supervisory or managerial experience.
5+ years of manufacturing experience.
U.S. or non‑U.S. eligibility for required export authorization.
Desired Skills
Experience with standard cost accounting and finance management.
Proficiency in GAAP, FAR, and CAS.
Strong communication, technology, and interpersonal skills.
ERP implementation experience.
Project cost accounting experience.
Expertise in financial reporting systems (e.g., Deltek Costpoint, Great Plains, Visibility, or Epicor).
Compensation Information Base Salary Range: $160,000 - $190,000 USD (Annually)
