Clinical Technician - Telemetry / Neurology

This state‑of‑the‑art acute care facility has 177 patient rooms and offers services in a wide variety of specialties to meet community needs. As a Clinical Technician on the Telemetry/Neurology Unit you will support nurses and the medical staff by ensuring patients receive high‑quality, attentive care under RN supervision. Night shift: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM.
Responsibilities
Provide or assist with patient care under the supervision of an RN. Tasks include taking vital signs, assisting with personal care and activities of daily living, patient transfers/transport, pulse oximetry, point‑of‑care testing, dressing changes, and applying or removing external monitoring devices.
Report abnormal findings or changes in patients’ physical, mental, or emotional conditions to an RN.
Assist with keeping patient rooms clean and orderly.
Complete the internal training program within two weeks of start date.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross. If you do not already hold this certification, you must obtain it during your new-hire period.
Preferred Qualifications
One year of recent, full‑time patient care experience, or nursing student with at least one clinical rotation through an accredited nursing program, or military experience as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W), or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1).
Physical Requirements
Requires full‑body motion to move and lift patients; manual finger dexterity and good eye‑hand coordination; extensive standing and walking.
Medium Work – Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force rarely, and/or 0 to 50 pounds of force occasionally to move objects.
Physical demand requirements are in excess of Medium Work.
Personal Protective Equipment
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
