Morningstar
Morningstar
is a global leader in independent investment research, data, and investment management, with over $350B in AUM and operations in 32 countries. We empower financial professionals — advisors, asset managers, and institutional investors — with trusted insights and tools.
The Role We’re seeking a seasoned
B2B content strategist
to lead content strategy and execution for our asset management, wealth and advisor audiences across globally. You’ll shape messaging, create original and derivative content, and drive engagement across multiple formats and channels.
This hybrid role requires both
strategic thinking and hands‑on content creation —ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of insight and execution.
This position is based in our New York or Chicago office. We follow a hybrid policy of at least 4 days onsite. Morningstar's hybrid work environment gives you the opportunity to collaborate in-person each week as we've found that we're at our best when we're purposely together on a regular basis. In most of our locations, our hybrid work model is four days in‑office each week. A range of other benefits are also available to enhance flexibility as needs change. No matter where you are, you'll have tools and resources to engage meaningfully with your global colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
Content Strategy: Develop and lead a global B2B content strategy aligned to key customer segments and corporate priorities. Define tone, messaging, and audience journeys, including content for brand campaigns targeting asset managers.
Content Development: Create and adapt thought leadership, articles, blogs, videos, podcast scripts, and social posts tailored to wealth and asset management professionals. Build and manage a consistent editorial pipeline.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with marketing, sales, research, editorial, and business units to ensure content relevance and alignment.
Data‑Driven Optimization: Use performance metrics and marketing intelligence to guide editorial planning and improve content impact.
Governance & Compliance: Ensure all content meets regulatory standards and adheres to brand and content governance guidelines.
What Makes You a Strong Fit
Strategic Executor: You combine high‑level strategic thinking with the ability to produce polished content across channels and formats.
Collaborative Influencer: You’re skilled at aligning cross‑functional teams and building relationships with subject matter experts and business stakeholders.
Qualifications
5+ years in B2B content strategy or content marketing, ideally in asset or wealth management.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, English, or related field (MBA or CFA a plus).
Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
Familiarity with content formats for digital, video, podcast, and social.
Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate insights into action.
Comfortable navigating a global, matrixed organization.
Application Requirement
We'd love to see your work. Please include one to two examples that best demonstrate your ability to create engaging, audience‑relevant content.
